Project Home Again

We are off to another busy season at PHA. We owe great big thanks to the Mother Connection for recently donating $500 for the purchase of new mattresses for children. Eight children who were sleeping on the floor will now have beds to sleep in because of their generosity.

Currently, our warehouse is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 10am-12pm, and on Thursday from 1pm-3pm, but please check the website for more detailed information on making a donation. It is www.projecthomeagain.bravehost.com. We generally follow the school calendar and close for holidays.

In addition, we are still trying to open on Tuesday mornings and could use additional help on Thursday afternoons. If you would like to volunteer during those hours, or our existing hours, please let me know.

I can be reached at projecthomeagain@comcast.net, or at 978-470-1356 if you have any questions regarding PHA.

Thanks for your support…………………..……..Nancy Kanell

Volunteers Needed at Project Home Again

Attention teenagers 15 years and older: Project Home Again needs your help! If you can help out at the warehouse on Mondays from 3-5 PM, that would be of great help to us.

Work includes carrying donated items from cars to the warehouse, shelving those items, and helping clients pick out what they need. You don't even have to help out every week. The minimum volunteer time is once a month. But if you want to, you can volunteer once a week or even once every two weeks. The plan is to have 4 kids helping out per week. So if you have friends that you'd like to do this with, just tell us and we can arrange for that. We also need one parent to supervise each week. If you're interested in helping out those who are less fortunate than you, call Andrew Kanell at 978-886-7062 or email him at ajkanell@comcast.net

Shabbat Greeters

This program increases the feeling of warmth and community at our services, and creates an opportunity for any congregant or guest who has questions to voice them.  Greeters wear badges so that they are clearly identifiable and are in the foyer prior to the start of services.  All Temple Board members are asked to participate in this program.  All interested congregants are invited to participate as well.  If you would like to become a "Greeter", please call the Temple office.

Israel Bonds

The Development Corporation for Israel/State of Israel Bonds began operations in 1951. It was established to bolster Israel’s economy. The sale of Israel bonds became a global enterprise, fulfilling Ben-Gurion’s vision of a strong economic partnership between Israel and its supporters the world over. Proceeds realized from the sale of Israel bonds and other securities are utilized by Israel’s Finance Ministry to help fund projects in key economic sectors. For more information, click the logo above or contact Ben Weiner, theweino@comcast.net.
